Weekly Snap! April 20th 2026

Welcome again to Monday and the Weekly Snap where I give a quick update on my works in progress and other relevant news.

Novels

The Parasite Princess is in first draft. I added around 2,784 words last week. Good progress. For reference, I aim to write no less than 500 words per day and no more than 1,500 words. And that's per project.

Reyanna and The Mountain Giant is in first draft. I added around 1,549 words last week bringing the total to just over 10,000! Yay! Fewer words added than I would like, but progress is progress and that's a milestone.

Children's Books

The Runners on The Sleigh is still in final revision phase.

ACHOO! Said The Cat is finished with its final revision and has moved on to drafting and illustrations.

Slow Down has really caught my attention as a unique idea and got a lot of attention last week. It is in first draft phase.

Other News

In other news, I finished reading Standing For Something: 10 Neglected Virtues That Will Heal Our Hearts and Homes by Gordon B. Hinckley. Excellent book! My next read is The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu.
